Project Information

This blog is my final project for Intro to Digital Photography at East Carolina University.  I manipulated “fine art” images to reflect the culture we view them with.  I wanted to communicate that we bring our own culture when viewing art, even the art of many centuries old and in this case that culture of “hipster.”  Through Photoshop CS5 I manipulated images, sometimes adding new aspects or taking away.  I think it is somewhat successful at depicting the concept of “cultural glasses” and improvement can go to adding a text commentary on the hipsterdom culture that would give more relevance to the images and also a more focus idea of the “cultural glasses” that we wear and the ability to realize that we wear them.
